Maithili Thakur, is a 16 year old contestant, who has participated in the famous live reality competition, Rising Star, 2017. She has given an undoubtedly amazing performance in the audition and scored a whooping 94% and proved her talent in that round. She has impressed the judges and the expert panel members with her amazing performance. She is one of the best classical singer at the Rising Star India.

She has performed the song ‘Bhor Bhaye’ in the audition round and mesmerised everyone with her beautiful and soulful voice. In the Duels Round, she defeated Sayani Palit, with her top-notch performance of the song ‘Kesariya Balam’ and advanced to the next round. In the Red Sofa Elimination round, she sang ‘Albela Sajan’ and got a score of 92%. She has also impressed, the expert panel members, Shankar Mahadevan, Monali Thakur and Diljit Dosanjh and they were impressed in all the rounds equally.

The Delhi girl, is giving a tough competition to all the other contestants in the competition. She has already participated in another reality singing competition, Indian Idol Junior, in the year 2015. Currently, she is pursuing her 12^th grade in the school, Bal Bhavan Internation school. She is also fondly called as ‘The Nightingale of Bal Bhavan International school’. Since, she is having a beforehand experience in singing, many people hope that she will be winning the grand title of Rising Star.
