Yogeshwar Dutt, is an Indian freestyle wrestler. He became famous after he won a bronze medal, in 2012 Summer Olympics. He fought in 60 kg category. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2013. He has also won a gold medal in 2014 Common Wealth Games. He is from Haryana, India. He lost his father and sustained a knee injury few days before the Asian games; however he managed to secure bronze medal for our country.
Career:
He fought for our country in the 15th Asian Games, under 60 kg category and won bronze medal, despite his physical and emotional trauma. Yogeshwar overcame a career-threatening knee injury and then participated in 2010 Common Wealth games and with his exceptionally skillful performance won a gold medal for our country. In 2012, he boosted the India’s medal tally by claiming a memorable bronze medal in the game.
In 2014, Commonwealth games he won a Gold medal in Men’s freestyle wrestling under 65kg category by defeating Canada’s Jevon Balfour 10-0 in the finals. He has also won gold medal again in Asian games, in the year 2014.
