Tariq Hameed Kharra, is an Indian Politician and member of the Parliament in 16th Lok Shaba from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. He won the Indian General Election, 2014 being Jammu and Kashmir people’s Democratic Party candidate.

Political life:He spent his early days in Jammu and Kashmir and he also completed his education from the same state. He was a candidate in the People Democratic Party(PDP) in Jammu and Kashmir and in 2014 he won the election. PDP recently joined hands with Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). He was not satisfied with the central government, since they mishandled the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
He left the PDP five months back and now he has joined hands with Congress. In an interview, he had mentioned that there is not enough time to form a new party, so he chose Congress over BJP. He has also slammed that BJP tried to give him bribe and post of Chief minister trying to contain him in BJP. However, he has not taken it due to his conscience.
