Rajat Sharma is one of the most famous and prominent journalist, who is also the chairman and Editor-in-chief of the popular new channel India TV. He hosts the popular show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ and he was well-known across the country from this show. He interviews most popular personalities like Arvind Kejriwal, Lalu Prasad Yadav, and Subramanian Swamy. He was also invited in the most prominent show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ aired on Colors.
Career:
Initially, after finishing his college, he joined in the JP movement lead by Jayaprakash Narayan, in Bihar. Even at that time he was inclined to Debating. In 1975, when it turned against former PM Indira Gandhi, emergency was imposed and Rajat spent 11 months in Tihar Jail.
In 1982, he started his journalism career with Onlooker as Trainee Reporter for Rs.300. In two years, he was promoted as the Chief of the Bureau and then he became an Editor in 1985. He then started working as Editor at Sunday Observer on 1987 and he also worked as the Editor of The Daily till 1992. In 1993, his first show of ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ was aired in Zee news and subsequently he, along with his wife launched private news channel India TV in 2004.
