Maneet Chauhan, is an Indian Chef, cookbook writer and restaurant owner based on United states. Previously, she worked as the Executive Chef of several notable restaurants in Chicago and New York. She is a well-known face in the US Television. She is the judge of the programs ‘The Next Iron Chef and Worst cooks in America’, that aired in Food Network Channel.
Career:
She began her career in the Welcom Graduate School of Hotel Administration, Manipal and she topped the class that year and continued her studies in ‘Culinary Institute of America’ and she performed well and won all the awards. Immediately after graduation in 2000, she was hired as management for the Start up in Cherry Hill, NJ, where she was the head and expanded the restaurant’s capacity from 70 to 140 in a short span of time.
In 2003, she became the opening Executive chef of Vermilion in Chicago and later moved to NYC to open At Vermilion. She was nominated the ‘Best Import to New York’ by Time Out Magazine. Her cooking was described as ‘Global Fusion’ with roots in Indian Cuisine. She has also written her first cookbook ‘Flavors of My World: A Culinary Tour Through 25 countries’. She also opened her first restaurant named ‘Chauhan Ale and Masala House’, which accomodates 150 people and opened in August, 2014.

Maneet is absolutely super. A beautiful lady with a good heart. She always brings class and charm to the food channel whenever she is on. We love her. We will be in Nashville this summer and intend to go to one of her restaurants while there. I am excited.
