Kapil Mishra, is an Indian Politician, who is a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He is one of the members of the State Legislative Assembly, from Karawal Nagar Constituency. He is also known for his social works and also involved with international organisations like Greenpeace. He is known for leading many youth protest and mainly was detained for raising his voice against exploitation of Yamuna, in the name of Common Wealth Games.
Career:
He won the assembly election in the year 2013, representing Karawal Nagar constituency and became the member of the Sixth Legislative Assembly, in Delhi. He was the first person to raise his voice against, Common Wealth Games, 2010, held in New Delhi. He has also written a book, which exposes the scams and other issues happening under the cover of the CWG 2010. He has also co-founded the organisation, ‘Youth For Justice’ and led the youth protest for various socio-economic issues like Farmer Suicide, Intrusion of Yamuna etc. He is also serving as the Minister of Water, Tourism, Culture and Arts. Recently, he has been sacked out of the party by the Party head, ‘Arvind Kejriwal’, soon after he has discussed regarding ‘Water Tanker Scam’ with him. He was being replaced by ‘Kailash Gahlot’, for further development of Water Management.
