Eric Pillai, is an Indian Sound Engineer, who has prominently worked with artists namely Pritam, Sajid Wajid, Mithoon, Sachin Jigar, Meet Bros Anjjan, Akit Tiwari, Devi Sri Prasad, Anirudh, Euphoria etc. He has established his name in the field of Bollywood, by a featured Solid State Logic (SSL), a mixing console.
Career:
At the age of 12, his music interest triggered by SSL, a mixing console in the Police’s ‘Every Little Thing She Does is Magic’, which was a revelation in the Bollywood industry. Following his inclination towards music, he joined ‘Rock School Ltd’, in London, which is a guitar institute; he also did a diploma in Sound engineering from the City of Westminster College, from the year 1993-1996.
He returned to Mumbai and started working with ‘Galactica’, continued working there for 8 months. In March 1997, he joined ‘Spectral Harmony’ and while he was still working with the studio he recorded and mixed Euphoria’s Phir Dhoom independently. Finally, he decided to go independent in the year 2005 and started ‘Future Sound of Bombay’, for a year he has been working in his bedroom and in the year 2006, he got his own studio space. He has also won IIFA Award for Best Song Recording and GiMA Award for Best Engineer.
Currently, he is one of the jury members in the famous Hindi Singing reality competition, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’, aired on Zee TV.
