Abhijeet Bhattacharya, famously known as Abhijeet, is a well known Playback singer, who has lent his voice in many regional languages like, ‘Bengali, Odia, Bhojpuri, Gujarati etc’. He was also seen as one of the Judges in the, Hindi Singing reality competition, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. Including this, he has done many pop albums.
He began his singing career, in the year 1971 and used to perform on stage. However, in the year 1981, due to his passion for music, he decided to pursue his career in that field. He made his debut as a playback singer in the movie, ‘Anand Aur Anand’, where he sang alongside, ‘Kishore Kumar’. Following this, in the 1990’s, he became one of the top choices for all the musicians. He has sung in many movies like, ‘Baaghi, Khiladi, Darr, Ashoka, Om Shanti Om etc’ and along with many legends. Recently, he has lent his voice in ‘Hason Raja, Radhe etc’. He has also won a Film fare award for his performance in song, ‘Main Koi Aisa Geet Gason’, in the year 1998.
